“Pinktober” Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hacienda Tres Ríos Resort, Spa & Nature Park in the Riviera Maya has launched a special program for the entire month of October, also known as “Pinktober”, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For every reservation of at least three nights booked through their website or toll-free reservation number, Hacienda Tres Rios will donate 50 U.S. Dollars to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest breast cancer organization.

Susan G. Komen fought breast cancer with her heart, body and soul but instead of worrying about her own illness, was committed to making a difference for other women. Susan’s sister, Nancy G. Brinker, who was inspired and moved by her sister’s compassion for others, promised Susan that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. Susan G. Komen for the Cure was founded in order to fulfill this promise.

Breast Cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and is the leading cause of cancer death among women worldwide. Approximately 1.4 million women are diagnosed each year.
