Hacienda Tres Ríos, Sunset Lagoon & Marina, Sunset Fishermen, and Sunset Royal received awards from RCI, the world’s leading timeshare exchange company.
Sunset Royal, a property that has just been refurbished with an investment of 7 million U.S. Dollars, received this award for the twentieth time in a row.
Cancun, Q. Roo – Sunset World has been a leader in vacation ownership in the Mexican Caribbean from the start. The group has earned a number of consecutive RCI Gold Crown awards for high quality in service and facilities.
This year the worldwide leader in vacation club membership exchanges, RCI, awarded four Gold Crown Awards to this proudly Mexican hotel chain for its hotel properties; Sunset Lagoon Resort & Marina, Sunset Fishermen Resort, Hacienda Tres Rios Resort, Spa & Nature Park, and Sunset Royal Beach Resort. The Sunset Royal Beach Resort received this award for the quality of its modern facilities and excellent choice of entertainment.
“We are proud to once again receive this award for our vacation club Sunset Royal and we are committed to further improve our standards of quality,” said Orlando Arroyo Marroquin, Chairman of Sunset World. Arroyo added that the awards were based on excellent guest ratings.
The constant improvement of the group’s properties has allowed it to receive this award several times in 20 years of operations in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. The Sunset Royal has received this award for 20 consecutive years, the Sunset Fishermen for 12 years, and the group’s newest eco-luxury resort, Hacienda Tres Ríos, has earned the award for 3 consecutive years, the same number of years it has been open.
Sunset World recently invested over 7 million U.S. Dollars in the renovation of the Sunset Royal. This investment is part of the company’s 2011 goal to establish itself as the best company in vacation experiences in the Mexican Caribbean.
Following the plan to continuously upgrade their properties, Sunset World completed a full renovation of the Sunset Royal at the end of last year which included new furniture and centers of consumption, a completely remodeled pool, a new beach club, as well as improved entertainment and activity programs, services and amenities.
Other RCI prizes were awarded to the sales team at Sunset World. These awards have been earned for more than a decade for high sales in club memberships.
In attendance for the awards were: Orlando Arroyo Marroquin, Chairman of Sunset World; Arturo Marcelin, Vice President of Marketing; Jorge Pallas, Vice President of Sunset World; Juan Ignacio Rodríguez, VP of Business Development Latin America; Jesus Calahorra, Director of Business Development in Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean.
Sunset World has become one of the most solid tourism corporations in the Mexican Caribbean. Due to its successful marketing, vertical and horizontal operation systems and direct sales, these strategies have allowed the hotelier company to grow and generate more than 5,000 jobs in Mexico, U.S., India, Philippines and England.
