The tourism group Sunset World Resorts & Vacation Experiences awarded prizes to the winners of the 2ndAnnual Golden Years Club Talent Show on January 13, 2012.
This year’s theme was “The Joy of Life”. The Can Can team won in the Dance and Gymnastics category. In the mural category the winners were La Alegria de Vivir con la Naturaleza. La Alegria de la Vida team won the singing category.
First prize was a stay at luxury ecotourism resort Hacienda Tres Rios. Second prize was lodging at the Sunset Royal hotel, and third prize, a day pass to enjoy the Tres Rios ecopark.
The winners in each category were determined by a public vote for favorite video or photo on Sunset World’s Facebook page from December 12, 2011 to January 11, 2012. This was the second edition of this competition which included the cheerful and enthusiastic participation of over 120 older adults, members of the Golden Years Club. With the theme “The Joy of Life”, the seniors demonstrated their skills in different disciplines.
Brand Director of the tourism group, Annie Arroyo, thanked the participants for their enthusiasm and announced that in December the third edition of this lively contest will be held. The Golden Years Club provides seniors with a place for companionship, friendship and fun, encouraging seniors to fully enjoy this beautiful stage of their lives.
